Hi, I’m Dana. 👋
I’m a writer and results-driven public relations consultant specializing in accessible and impactful PR for small businesses, nonprofits, artists, and musicians.
In 2018, I launched The Plain English Consultant intended solely as a side business to help uplift the work of my creative friends. Since becoming my full-time endeavor in 2020, I have successfully executed marketing and publicity campaigns for numerous music and film creators, nonprofits and small businesses, as well as worked on contract to support top agencies in their media relations initiatives.
Working across a variety of lifestyle verticals (entertainment, CPG, tech, travel & more), I take a holistic approach to PR — combining earned media with innovative strategies such as brand partnerships, analyst and influencer relations, award submissions, and high-impact speaking engagements to position clients competitively in their industries.
